Lots of people see aging as a time of declining health. I see it as an opportunity to take charge of my health. I've got plenty of ideas about how to make food and lifestyle choices that are sensible, enjoyable, uncomplicated and the promote health.
My diet for healthy aging is 'sometimes vegetarian.' My food choices emphasize whole foods, simple cooking techniques, flavor and familiar ingredients. And at a time of life when certain nutrient needs are increased, I'm not opposed to adding supplements to support health.
A healthy lifestyle can't prevent aging. But it can increase the years spent with a high quality of life as you age.
